Ron Sartore
Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Sartore was executive vice president and on Simtek's board of directors before he became President of AgigA Tech, a subsidiary of Simtek. In September 2008, Simtek was acquired by Cypress Semiconductor. Mr. Sartore spearheaded Simtek's new product initiatives bringing innovative ways to apply Simtek technology to new and larger markets. He has more than 30 years experience in the computer and semiconductor fields, most recently serving as a Vice President for Cypress Semiconductor. Mr. Sartore was also the Founder, CEO and President of Anchor Chips, an early market leader in USB controllers, which was acquired by Cypress Semiconductor in 1999. Prior to that, he co-founded Cheetah International, where his product designs received worldwide acclaim for ingenuity and technological advancement. Mr. Sartore also served engineering leadership and product definition roles at AMCC, Inmos, and Texas Instruments. He currently holds 17 U.S. patents with ten more pending and obtained a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University.
Jeff Chang
Vice President of Marketing and Business Development
Mr. Chang joined the AgigA Tech team in March 2010 as our Vice President of Marketing. He has provided strategic direction in senior marketing roles in both start-up and public company environments. Mr. Chang has managed product portfolios that span multiple end markets including PC, consumer electronics, mobile handsets and operator-class communication systems. Most recently, he was the Senior Director of Marketing at Entropic Communications, a leading fabless semiconductor company in the development of home networking solutions. Prior to Entropic, Mr. Chang was Vice President of Marketing at Staccato Communications, where he helped establish the company as a leader in Ultrawideband (UWB) and Wireless USB solutions. Earlier in his career, Mr. Chang spent over 7 years at Cypress Semiconductor where he held various roles in marketing and business management. As the Business Unit Director of the USB Product Line at Cypress, he helped grow the business from its early stages to the industry leader in USB controllers. Mr. Chang holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington.
Scott Harmel
Vice President of Operations
Mr. Harmel has over 18 years of experience in various roles ranging from marketing and business management to operations. He joins us from Cypress Semiconductor, where most recently he worked as Vice President of the Optical Navigation System business. Prior to that, Mr. Harmel ran the Programmable Clocks and High-Speed USB business units where product shipments exceeded 1 million units per week. In these senior business roles for Cypress, he had responsibility for the P&L, operations, product development, and business strategy. Earlier in his career at Cypress, Mr. Harmel spent 9 years working in the SRAM division running marketing, business development, applications and product development. He has been awarded two US patents and holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Cal Ploy San Luis Obispo (SLO).
Dr. Yingnan Liu
Vice President of Engineering
Mr. Liu brings more than 25 years of experience in software and hardware development of embedded systems, consumer products and ASIC architecture. Prior to joining AgigA Tech, Mr. Liu served as director of software engineering for Conexant Systems, playing a key role in the digital TV project, and was responsible for DTV software architecture design, reference platform development, system QA, and customer supportall supported by the DTV software teams he built worldwide. Prior to Conexant Systems, Mr. Liu worked for Pixelworks for a number of years, where he held numerous positions including Director of Software Engineering. At Pixelworks, Mr. Liu built worldwide software development teams; developed TV platforms including advanced CRT TV, LCD TV, and digital TV; and managed software SDK, QA, and release. Mr. Liu received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Shenyang Ligong University (China), an M.S. in Power Electronics Engineering from University of Mining and Technology (China), and a Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Gunma University (Japan). He holds 3 patents.
Lane Hauck
Senior Member of the Technical Staff
Mr. Hauck has designed FFT analyzers, video games, biomedical instruments, electronic toys and USB integrated circuits. Prior to joining AgigA, Mr. Hauck worked as a Senior Scientist at Maxim Integrated Products where he developed and applied USB chips. Prior to that he worked as a Senior Member of the Technical Staff at Cypress Semiconductor via Anchor Chips, where he architected the EZ-USB line. He holds 31 US patents with several more pending, and he has won industry awards for display and control applications. Mr. Hauck has a B.S. in Physics and an M.S.E.E. in Computer Science. He has taught courses at UC San Diego Extension on USB and Verilog, authored ten technical papers, and published several magazine articles.
